I’m always looking for ways to be efficient, and when I make cards I’m generally doing it in batches. Free downloads can be a girl’s best friend for this reason, and that’s why we include them with every issue we publish.

You know them as Simple Sentiments, and they appear somewhere in the last few pages of each issue. When we first introduced them, they were just that – simple sentiments to use on the cards you make. As they’ve continued to grow in popularity, though, we’ve added more design and more variety. As a matter of fact, in our next issue (September/October), you’ll see them launched as Simple Printables. You’ll find not only sentiments, but also tags, wall hangings and even a party invite just perfect for Halloween fun.

But before we lose track of our current season—sunny, glorious summer—I want to be sure you didn’t miss the fantastic Simple Sentiments in the July/August issue.

A very versatile design for cards, notebooks, tags, or even a wall hanging!

For example, senior editor P. Kelly Smith used this adorable Life is a Beautiful Ride sentiment to make a sweet notebook for jotting down deep thoughts:

A perfect birthday card.

Use all or part of a sentiment, like Sandy McDougle did with Life is a Beautiful Ride.
